The price ranges from $65.00 to $98.00 round trip, depending on how far in advance you make the reservation and how full the train is. Special discounts occur occasionally. Members of StudentAdvantage, AAA and NARP receive a discount. Children under the age of sixteen travel at half the fare, while those twelve and under qualify for an annual Kid’s Club Membership. How do I make a reservation on the Heartland Flyer?
Currently the only staffed station on the route is in Fort Worth. You can call Amtrak at 1-800-USA-RAIL (1-800-872-7245) or visit the Amtrak web site at www.amtrak.com and make reservations. A map of the routes and stations can be found here. On longer trips, where the Flyer is used to connect with other trains, a travel agent may be helpful.
