The Heartland Flyer Turns 20 This Year!
On June 14th, come and celebrate with us and Amtrak down at the station. The station is located in downtown Oklahoma City just west of Bricktown, at 100 E. K. Gaylord Boulevard. Parking at the station is very limited, however the Cox Convention Center and other parking garages are conveniently located nearby.
The big event kicks off at 7:45 AM and includes special speakers from the Oklahoma Department of Transportation, Amtrak, and very special guest Katie Moore. She was the winner of the naming contest for the Heartland Flyer in 1999.
As a special treat, Amtrak is offering 20% off from now until the end of August for travel onboard the Heartland Flyer. Please click Anniversary Sale for details.
And that’s not all! You can buy commemorative polo shirts and pens from the Amtrak website starting on June 10th. Please click Amtrak Merchandise for details.
We look forward to seeing you there and to many more years of Oklahoma’s passenger rail service.
