Pauls Valley

Twelve downtown blocks of this proud Oklahoma town are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Settled by Smith Paul in 1857, this Main Street community also lays claims to having more brick streets than any other town in the continental United States—17,986 square yards! Next to the new Amtrak station is the city’s Santa Fe Depot Museum, featuring an engine and caboose railroad car. Pauls Valley also serves as home to the world famous Fields Pecan Pies, rodeo and sports arenas, a waterfall rose garden and Stark Art, the studio/personal collection of hometown artist Kevin Stark, famous for designing toys for Steven Spielburg and for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  Pauls Valley’s Toy & Action Figure Museum was named Outstanding New Attraction in the state. The depot has become a museum and meeting spot, a place for programs and parties, but still maintains most of its original integrity.  A wonderful collection of old photos, school memorabilia and pioneer collectibles are on display.  A steam locomotive and coal tender that once traveled over these tracks has found a permanent home near the depot.  Recently a vintage red caboose was purchased and rests behind the engine.

Toy & Action Figure Museum

The goal of the museum is to pay tribute to the designers, sculptors, and toy companies who have turned children's playthings into bonafide works of art.  Located in downtown Pauls Valley, the museum features over 10,000 items and strives to show a behind-the-scenes look at the world of action figures.
Field's Pecan Pies

Field's "World's Best" pecan pie began in Pauls Valley when two brothers persuaded their wives to cook pastries for their restaurant customers.  The same recipes Mrs. Hazel Field used in 1925 are followed today.
Royal Twin Theatres

The theare is open seven days a week and features national release, first-run movies.  It originally opned around 1918 and is reputed to be the oldest brick building in Pauls Valley. The historic interior auditorium has a large balcony that is a favorite of many patrons.  Recent remodeling included deluxe seating.
Longmire Lake
Offers fishing, boating, camping, hiking, bird watching, hunting and swimming.  The lake also has a pavilion for social functions and modern restroom facilities.  Located just 11 miles east of Pauls Valley.  Since 1990, the lake has been stocked with Florida Bass and is monitored by the  ODWC, ensuring its status as a trophy bass lake.
Pauls Valley City Lake
Fishing, camping, swimming, water sports, hunting and a pavilion for reunions or get-togethers.
Camping facilities range from full hook-ups to primitive camping.  Pauls Valley City Lake is located 1.5 miles east of the city on Highway 19, then 1/2 mile west.
